For the first game on our normal home pitch, it what seems like a lifetime we welcomed Rumney. It was a good chance for both teams to test each other out ahead of the cup game in a fortnight.

Llandaff has the bare bone 15 due to injuries and absentees. In an even first quarter Llandaff managed to score a couple of tries through full back for the day Macsen and their captain Karl who produce some great individual runs.

Great defence by Llandaff managed to keep Rumney at bay limiting them to one try in the first half.

As the game progress Llandaff began to take the upper hand and convert their chances. A few great individual tries from Karl and Macsen allowed Llandaff to create a comfortable lead. Credit however must be given to the defensive display that kept Rumney at bay during crucial moments of the game. Some awesome tackles put in especially from man of the match Cass. Well done and well-deserved wins are built on great defence, and you lead by example.

Also special mention to Tomos who step up into the number 9 position and put in an awesome performance providing great ball for the backs to work off.

Further tries were score by Karl and Mascen with a great team try finished off by winger Sam in the corner. The game was finished off with a much deserved try by the ever-improving Jesse. Great try Jesse we have all been rooting for you to get that one (onwards and upwards). Great win for Llandaff 50-5. I am sure it will be a lot tighter match in two weeks when the teams meet in the cup.
